Hello everyone! I apologize that it's taken me so long to get this thing up and running. I've been awfully busy these past 2 weeks...all of this nursing, pooing, sleeping and fussing takes up a lot of time ;) Mommy and Daddy keep calling me "milk monster". I'm not too sure what this means, but I think it has something to do with me being hungry all the time and then growling and grunting while I eat. Hmmm. I do enjoy eating though.
I've been on a walk on the West Papio Trail (so Mommy could get out of the house), to the pumpkin patch, the grocery store, Mommy's doctor, my doctor, a photographer's studio, and Council Bluffs for Mommy's bridesmaid dress fitting. Whew! I'm worn out from all of these errands. Also, Mommy always has the camera in my face. I guess this is something I will have to get used to. She says that it's not going to change any time soon. I guess I must be cute or something.
I found out today that I've gained a pound since we busted out of the hospital. I was 7 lb 10 oz when I was born, 7 lb 1 oz when I left the hospital and was 8 lb 1 oz today at my 2 week checkup. Dr K says that everything looks good. My belly button is being stubborn though and hasn't come off yet. Hmpf. Maybe I'm just not quite ready to detach completely from Mommy. I pee through my diaper a lot. A lot! Mommy and Daddy keep having to change my outfit throughout the day. They think it's because of my stubborn belly button...makes for a challenging diaper change. It's clearly not my fault. I don't diaper myself. They must not have a clue what they are doing. Hopefully they will figure it out soon.
I love to be held...especially on Daddy's chest with my legs tucked all up underneath me, and I love to be warm. I don't like to be changed and I really don't like to have a bath. I also like to stick my tongue out and look around with wide eyes...Mommy calls this look my "terrified eyes" look. I'm not terrified though, I'm just checking everything out. There's a lot of new stuff for me to look at.
I've had a lot of visitors. Everyone comments on my hair and eyelashes. Does no other baby have hair like me? I've also got a lot of other people that still want to meet me. Apparently I'm popular. Mommy is working hard at trying to work everyone in. If people would just come over around midnight, that's when I'm wide awake. I bet Mommy would love to have some company then, because she could sleep and they could hold me.
I've put some pictures up of my time that I've spent here at home already. Hopefully I will meet all of you soon if I haven't already. So far, life is pretty good!! :)
Love, Levi
