Your 1st 4th of July!

Even though you hadn't been feeling good, you woke up on the Friday before the 4th with NO fever! We were so hoping that you would feel good enough to go to daycare that morning because it was the day of the parade. Mommy had taken the morning off work and stopped to pick up Daddy from his work so that we could see you with all of your little friends. We decked you out in your celebratory outfit complete with a "tattoo" from Nana and Papa that we put on your cheek. You looked so cute! You and your friends had such a good time in the buggy parading around for everyone. You spent most of the time chewing on a flag that you ripped off the side of the buggy. After the parade, we all went inside and had lunch. We got to eat in your room (infant 3) with you. It was so fun to watch what toys you like to play with and how you interact with your friends. I was just so happy to be there with you. You are such a special, happy baby :)

Then, Saturday night we went over to your Uncle Chad and Auntie Elizabeth's house. You weren't too bothered by the firework noises. You watched your cousin Grant and Uncle Mark shoot off some fireworks and then you crashed in the playpen at your usual time.

On the actual holiday, it rained a lot, so we just went grocery shopping and watched you push your walking toys all over the house. You amaze me every day at how brave, and curious you are. You don't seem to be afraid of much, which makes me afraid ;) I want you to always be curious and to want to learn new things, but seeing you walk across the room makes me a little sad that you won't be my "baby" for very long. You are so proud of yourself though...you turn around to make sure that we are watching you, and you always have a huge grin on your face!

Love, Mama
