I got to ride on a big plane. I didn't mind it at all. In fact, I slept most of the way to Chicago. It didn't bother my ears, and I didn't even fuss at all. Mommy held me and we sat next to the window, so until I fell asleep, I checked out what was outside.
Mommy and Daddy were worried that I wouldn't sleep too well in the hotel room, but I proved them wrong. I slept all night, every night in the port-a-crib. I napped well in it too, unless we were out and about when I napped in the stroller.
The 1st day that we were there, we went to Millenium Park to see The Bean and then went to Navy Pier. I loved checking out The Bean. Daddy kept pushing my stroller up so that I could see my reflection. I mostly slept at Navy Pier, but Mama and Dada drove me around in the stroller and we ended up at a little Italian place so that Mama could have some chocolate and coffee and Dada could have a beer ;)
Then, that night, I went SWIMMING for the 1st time!! It was soooo much fun! I loved splashing the water with my hands, trying to "swim", and even kickin' back in my cool float :) Momma took lots of pictures, of course, and Daddy was so proud of me!
The next day it was rainy and cold, so we did inside activities. We went to the Museum of Science and Industry and shopped for a bit. The museum was neat, even though there were some loud noises and A LOT of kids running around on field trips. I took a little nap while we were there, but I really did like checking everything out. Daddy particularly liked the weather exhibit. Here's a picture of us in front of a "tornado"!
There was a baby chicks exhibit that Mommy thought was cool. It had babies that had just hatched from eggs. She also thought the "farm" exhibit was neat. It reminded her of when she grew up on the farm. She had Dada put me in the big tractor. I got to drive!!
Here's some more pictures from the museum. There was a few other fun things to do there. One was to stand in front of this screen and butterflies will "land" on you. Also, there were some fun house mirrors. Fun stuff!
Last, but not least, a picture of the cool stroller poncho thingy that kept me warm and dry....so warm and cozy in fact, that when Mommy took this picture, I was about to doze off. Zzzzzz...
Wednesday we went to a Cubs baseball game. My 1st MLB game. It was COLD, but we had fun! I loved watching all the people, and we had such good seats, that I even watched the game! Then, we went to Pizzeria Due after the game. I tried some of the pizza that Mommy and Daddy ordered...it was yummy! Then, we just went back to the hotel to warm up and do some more swimming.
The way home didn't go quite as well as the way there because our flight was delayed and so we spent extra time at the airport and it made me cranky. I didn't fall asleep until the last 15 minutes of the flight. It was all worth it though, because I had so much fun on this trip! I can't wait to go on vacation again!!
Love, Levi
Wow, what a lucky little boy you are to have such cool parents to take you to Chicago :D.....Nana and Papa haven't even been there to visit yet.....just flown through it ;)You were such a good boy for your mommy and daddy, too. Love the pictures of your trip, they will be great memories for you to look back on someday, too. Your pool float is awesome, you will have to bring it to Texas with you so you can float in Nana and Papa's pool. Can't wait to see you and all of your new tricks. Love you so much!!!! xoxoxo
